WHAT IS A MANDALA? A Mandala is a geometric diagram representing the Universe, used in sacred rites and as an instrument for meditation. Mandalas are used and created by cultures around the world; however the Mandala above is inspired by Buddhist custom. Traditional mandalas are rich with symbolism that evoke various aspects of Buddhist teaching. By mentally entering a Mandala, and moving towards its center, one is guided through the cosmic processes of disintegration and reintegration helping us to find our divine center within.
